A NEW YEAR

Now that we are almost finished with the first 6 weeks of the new 2009-2010 school year, we are ready to use this blog spot actively again.




If you look on the web page you will see the main focus of this first six weeks which is, thankfully, the prayer flag.


as a reminder: all prayerflags must be printed by Sept. 25th, 2009
however for a late grade you can print on the following Tuesday


We are FULL of great anticipation for the up-coming prayer flag exchange.

Where: Trammell Crow Collection of Asian Art
When:program to start at 7pm.
(I suggest getting there between 6:30 and 6:45pm)





The Free Tibeters will be hosting and talking at the ceremony however this is a chance to see the new mandala completed and be a part of the late night celebration/opening of the completed arts district.



Please check out the Trammell Crow Collection website to find out all the information about The Mystical Tour of Tibet activities. The opening and closing ceremonies are ticketed events so if you are interested in attending, you need to get your tickets asap!




you will notice we are listed on their calendar and paper prints of some of the prayer flags (about 20) will be on display in the sky walk gallery in the main building!


Our sincere thanks to their director Amy Hofland and her wonderful staff, and the Crow family for including us in this special event and time again.




the six weeks test is designed to get you actively involved in this blog. we want to use it as a resource and a sound off about your prints and your printmaking interests. All student are required to upload a photo of their prayer flag and a commentary explaining their image, why the image and about their research.


all images should be uploaded by OCTOBER 3rd, 2009 by midnight.

also all students are required to turn a project form with what they want to work on next by October 2nd, 2009 the last day of the 1st six weeks.
